Amy Harris, the chair of AGES’ Training Committee will be discussing a newly developed resource on genealogy educator competencies. The Training Committee have created a resource to help our members identify competencies within our field and some respected resources where an educator could self-educate for those competencies. This may be particularly useful to academics and members coming from other fields who may not yet have extensive genealogical training. She, and other committee members, will briefly review the resource’s content and then all attendees are welcome to provide feedback and discuss what needs remain.
To view the resource, please log into the member area of the AGES website and visit the Training Competencies link where the resource can be viewed and downloaded. https://agesgenealogy.org/
Zoom link has been sent to members.
The meeting will be recorded and made available from the AGES members-only website.
Please RSVP to Tahitia McCabe at tahitia.mccabe@strath.ac.uk but you are also welcome to attend on the day. Any questions, please let her know.
