Standing Committees
Finance committee
This committee shall prepare an annual budget for the Association and review and evaluate transactions. The Treasurer shall be the chair of this committee. Financial records shall be reviewed annually. Two (2) directors who are not members of the Finance committee or an outside reviewer shall perform the annual financial review.

Nominating committee
This committee shall solicit nominees and biographical information for open director positions. Nominees may be provided by the nominating committee and by the Board of Directors. The chair of the nominating committee shall be the immediate Past President when possible.

Membership/Professional Networks committee
This committee shall aid the Secretary in the solicitation of new members.

Publications/Website committee
This committee shall have editorial oversight over any publications and online content sponsored by the Association.

Meetings/Conferences committee
This committee shall assist the officers in the planning and operation of annual meetings and conferences, such as acting as referees for submissions.

Ad hoc Committees
Curriculum Development
This committee considers curriculum issues such as best practices in genealogy curriculum, with the intent to create member resources.

This committee considers training needs for academics in our field, with the intent to create member resources.
